Dr. Richard is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and holds the RMSK certification, reflecting specialized expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. His practice centers on accurate diagnosis and precise, minimally invasive, image-guided treatment for spine and sports injuries.
While earning his medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, he was chapter president of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. The Gold Humanism Honor Society honors physicians who exemplify compassionate, patient-centered care. Because members are peer-nominated, these "doctors' doctors" are the physicians other doctors want caring for themselves and their families.
Dr. Richard remained in New Orleans for his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at LSU, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Interventional Sports Medicine at Spine West, training in the advanced, image-guided techniques at the core of his practice today.
In the same way that excellent food is a way of life in New Orleans, Dr. Richard delivers outstanding medicine that is precise and high-quality while still being comfortable and personal. Dr. Richard aims to provide the highest quality of care, delivered with the warmth and hospitality of a great New Orleans table.
