After 20 years in hospitality and working on a professional music career, a close friend passed away after a short fight against metastatic melanoma. That moment changed my life, propelling me to pursue higher education and a career in nursing. From my first day in nursing school I knew it was the place for me. Seeing people in their most vulnerable states and being able to walk with them on their path to recovering a full and active lifestyle is rewarding and inspiring every day.
With my patients in the Boulder community, I share a love for living in Colorado and for adventure. The athleticism and drive to live a full life never ceases to amaze me, especially in the 65+ community. Every week, I meet a patient whose amazing adventure encourages me to experience as much as I can from life.
With the passion for life I see in my patients, I also remind them to trust the process. Because there is not always a short-term fix for long-term problems, approaching wellness with a wide scope and a bit of patience is important.
I spend my time outside of work playing in the mountains with my family. I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, camping, whitewater rafting, and travel. I am also passionate about music and take pride in displaying my extensive concert poster collection.
